Mr. Bandyopadhyay explained how the informal sector has been situated side by side the formal sector in the context of labor history. He considered the informal manufacturing unit and the heterogeneous units that emerged from migration and other social distortions. He sought the opinion of the panelists about the sustainability and existence of the marginalized informal sector.
