Ms. Madhuchanda Ghosh explained the different aspects of the bilateral relationship between India and Japan and the possibility of Indo- Japan convergence with regard to UNSC membership and a positive historical legacy, Look East policy . She also pointed out the divergence on ideas like nuclear issue, issue of NPT etc. She identified the area of common security interests, which will be the basis of strategic partnership.
